Why we're different

Whether you’re a candidate looking for work, an employer tired of the same old same old, or are interested in regeneration or tackling worklessness, you’ll find our approach to recruitment fresh, innovative and, above all, ethical.

 We're in the right places

We have branches in areas where other recruitment companies don’t, so we reach communities which may not be reached by agencies, job centres or Government funded programmes. What’s more, each of our branches is right in the heart of the community it serves, so we know our local areas – and their employment markets – inside out.

 We look harder

Our network of shop-front, high street branches attracts thousands of candidates daily. But we don’t just sit back and wait for them to come to us. We go to them. We work with the voluntary sector, faith groups and disability organisations. We arrange promotions in gay bars. We even knock on doors where there are concentrations of people who tend to feel excluded from the labour market. Independent research by MORI, Leeds Metropolitan University and the London Development Agency, among others, has concluded that we’re successfully engaging with, and placing, workers not being helped by other organisations.

We believe in what we do

Our number one business objective is to deliver a service that’s ethically and socially responsible. That means we don’t profit maximise so our services are charged at realistic rates. We don’t undertake any business we believe is unethical. And we don’t make promises we can’t keep.

 Our standards are scarily high

Praise, awards, official recognition – we’ve won them all, and from a wide range of professional bodies. For all the details, just click here.

 We practice what we preach

If anyone understands diversity, it’s us. Almost uniquely within our industry, we are diverse at all levels, starting with our senior management team. We are gay-owned and our senior management team includes 29% ethnic minorities, 71% women, 29% people with disabilities, 29% LGB and 29% over 50s. This inclusivity is reflected throughout our organisation.
