Double whammy for at work
We hit targets set by two different Ethnic Minority Flexible Fund contracts
at work teams in Wood Green and Shoreditch have celebrated placing 84 disengaged Job Seeker Allowance (JSA) claimants into work. The placements mark the successful completion of two different Jobcentre Plus Ethnic Minority Flexible Fund (EMFF) contracts – one for North London district and the other for City & East London district.
Tailored and intensive employability support helped at work Wood Green place the 68 JSA claimants referred through Jobcentre Plus offices in Haringey, Enfield and Barnet. While in City & East district, at work helped 16 claimants find jobs within three months.
“These contract successes prove how effective our one-to-one approach to working with different ethnic minority communities is, no matter whether they come to us voluntarily or are directed to do so,” said Sarah Corrigan, London Regional Manager. “In both cases, we’ve worked closely with Jobcentre Plus to provide complementary support to jobseekers and have built on the lessons learned from our various Ethnic Minority Outreach projects across the country.”
