at work pilots brand new vehicle
Haringey chooses us to deliver the first job brokerage project of its kind
at work has been picked to deliver an innovative job brokerage project for Haringey Council in North London.
The Haringey At Work project will be funded through the Stronger and Safer Communities Fund (SSCF) and involves working with users of council services. Focusing on three key wards, it will include weekly outreach surgeries at Wood Green Library and North Tottenham Customer Service Centre.
The project will build on, and link to, another contract recently awarded to at work, Getting Haringey Working (funded by London Councils ESF NRF).
Haringey Council’s Employment & Skills Manager, Martin Tucker, believes at work will play a key part in Haringey’s new partnership approach to tackling worklessness. “By offering guaranteed job interviews for programme beneficiaries and reconnecting people with job markets through linked provision, at work will help our flagship programme ‘A Haringey Guarantee’ to reduce worklessness and transform neighbourhoods.”
The contract runs from August 2006 to March 2008 and aims to place at least 60 residents into sustained in employment within 13 weeks.
