We renew our Jobcentre Plus ‘Two Ticks’ accreditation

talent! and at work have again won the right to use the Jobcentre Plus ‘Two Ticks’ symbol. We’ve grown a lot since we were first awarded this important accreditation. So we decided it was only right to review our commitments to people with disabilities and make sure we were as focused as ever on promoting their rights and meeting their needs. Not surprisingly, we passed with flying colours.

To regain the accreditation, we made five specific commitments related to the employment, retention, training and career development of disabled people.

  • To interview all applicants with a disability who meet the minimum criteria for a job vacancy and to consider them on their abilities.
  • To ensure there’s a mechanism in place to discuss at any time, but at least once a year, what we can do to develop and use the abilities of disabled people.
  • To make every effort when employees become disabled to make sure they stay in employment.
  • To take action to ensure key employees develop the appropriate level of disability awareness needed to make these commitments work.
  • To review these commitments each year.
